Answer from 2025 FDD Document

The period of time between the signing of the Franchise Agreement (or the payment of any consideration for the franchise) and the opening of your Bumper Business varies depending upon when you schedule initial training. Because you commence operations of your Bumper Business immediately upon completing initial training to our satisfaction, we estimate that you will commence operations three to five weeks following the execution of the Franchise Agreement and payment of the initial franchise fee.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Bumper Man Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee commences operations immediately upon completing initial training to Bumper Man's satisfaction. The FDD estimates that franchisees will typically begin operations three to five weeks after signing the Franchise Agreement and paying the initial franchise fee, as this timeframe depends on when the franchisee schedules their initial training.

Prior to commencing operations, franchisees must complete the initial training program, which involves performing bumper repair services on approximately 100-150 bumpers. This training program typically takes about two weeks but can vary depending on the franchisee's progress and Bumper Man's standards. Franchisees are not allowed to perform bumper repair services until they have successfully completed the initial training program and Bumper Man's training personnel have assisted them in starting their Bumper Business.

Prospective franchisees should note that Bumper Man does not guarantee that an initial training program will be available immediately after the Franchise Agreement is signed. This could potentially delay the commencement of operations. Franchisees are responsible for covering all costs associated with attending the training, including travel, accommodations, and meals. Therefore, franchisees need to factor in these costs when planning their initial investment and startup timeline.
