What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Bumper Man Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee seeking to retain a Certified Technician must ensure the technician meets specific conditions before or concurrently with their start date. These conditions include that the proposed Certified Technician has sufficient business experience, aptitude, assets, and financial resources to operate the Bumper Business. The technician must also meet Bumper Man's standards for franchisees as outlined in the Manual.
Furthermore, if the Certified Technician is an entity, each person holding an equity interest must not be involved in operating or owning a competing bumper repair service and must commit solely to the Bumper Business. The Certified Technician must also cooperate with any reasonable due diligence requests made by Bumper Man.
In addition to these initial requirements, the Certified Technician must complete any refresher training requested by Bumper Man and agree to be bound by all terms and conditions of the Franchise Agreement. The Certified Technician must also pay the Certified Technician Fee to Bumper Man. If the Certified Technician is an entity, its principals must sign a Guaranty and Undertaking of Obligations. Finally, the franchisee, Certified Technician, and their respective principals must execute a general release, in a form satisfactory to Bumper Man, releasing Bumper Man from claims arising out of the Bumper Business operation.
