Under what conditions can a Bumper Man franchisee request consent to transfer their Franchise Agreement and acquire the right to operate in a new Designated Area?
Bumper_Man Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
Your Franchise Agreement does not give you any options, rights of first refusal or similar rights to acquire additional franchises. You are permitted only to operate one Bumper Business according to the terms of a single Franchise Agreement, although you may request our consent to transfer your Franchise Agreement subject to satisfying the conditions for consent to transfer and acquire the right to operate a Bumper Business in a new Designated Area (subject to availability).
You will not relocate your Bumper Business. With our prior written consent, you may transfer the Bumper Business to another Person and enter into our then-current Franchise Agreement for a new Designated Area, subject to your compliance with the terms and conditions for transfer set forth in the Franchise Agreement and the Manual.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bumper Man's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee can request consent to transfer their Franchise Agreement and acquire the right to operate a Bumper Business in a new Designated Area, subject to availability. The document specifies that while franchisees are generally limited to operating one Bumper Business under a single Franchise Agreement, they can request consent for a transfer.
To transfer the Bumper Business to another person and operate in a new designated area, the franchisee must obtain prior written consent from Bumper Man. Additionally, the franchisee must comply with all the terms and conditions for transfer as detailed in both the Franchise Agreement and the Manual.
This indicates that while the opportunity exists to move to a new territory, it is not guaranteed and is contingent on Bumper Man's approval and the franchisee meeting specific requirements. A prospective franchisee should carefully review the Franchise Agreement and Manual to understand the conditions for transfer, including any potential fees, training, or other obligations.
