What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Bumper Man FDD, after completing the initial training program to Bumper Man's satisfaction, the training personnel must assist the new franchisee in commencing operations of the Bumper Business. The initial training program requires the franchisee to perform bumper repair services on approximately 100-150 bumpers.
Prior to commencing operations, Bumper Man also provides several pre-opening obligations. Bumper Man will designate the franchisee's protected territory, assist with initial marketing, loan the franchisee a set of tools and equipment including an iPad mini or tablet and printer, and train the franchisee in their proprietary methods for bumper repair. Bumper Man will also provide access to the Manual and a list of approved suppliers and vendors.
Additionally, Bumper Man provides on-site assistance in marketing the Bumper Business to local automobile dealerships for at least three days. This support aims to help the new franchisee establish a customer base and gain initial traction in their designated area. The FDD specifies that franchisees may not commence performing bumper repair services until they complete the initial training program to Bumper Man's satisfaction.
