What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Bumper Man Franchise Disclosure Document, the Commencement Date is a critical point in time for the approval of a Certified Technician. The franchisee and the proposed Certified Technician must meet specific conditions either before or at the same time as the Commencement Date for the Certified Technician to be approved. This date marks when the Certified Technician is expected to begin providing services within the designated area.
Prior to or concurrently with the Commencement Date, the franchisee must be in full compliance with the Franchise Agreement. This includes having paid all Continuing Service Fees and any other amounts owed to Bumper Man and its affiliates, as well as having submitted all required reports, statements, and data. The proposed Certified Technician must also meet certain qualifications. They need to have sufficient business experience, aptitude, assets, and financial resources to operate the Bumper Business according to Bumper Man's standards.
Furthermore, if the Certified Technician is an entity, each person holding an equity interest must not be involved in any competing bumper repair business and must agree to only engage in the operation of the Bumper Man business. The Certified Technician must also cooperate with any reasonable due diligence requests made by Bumper Man, ensuring all information is provided promptly, and if more time is needed, it must be completed before the Commencement Date. These conditions ensure that the franchisee is in good standing and the Certified Technician is qualified and committed to the Bumper Man system before commencing services.
