What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Bumper Man Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are generally responsible for the costs they incur when attending meetings and seminars. Bumper Man may conduct meetings, seminars, and other related activities regarding the operation of the Bumper Man repair services business for franchisees. However, unless specifically approved by Bumper Man, the franchisee is responsible for covering any costs associated with attending these events.
This means that franchisees should anticipate expenses such as travel, accommodation, and other miscellaneous costs when planning to attend any optional meetings or seminars offered by Bumper Man. It is important for prospective franchisees to factor these potential costs into their budget when evaluating the overall investment required to operate a Bumper Man franchise. Franchisees should confirm with Bumper Man what costs, if any, might be covered for specific events.
This arrangement is fairly typical in the franchise industry, where franchisees often bear the costs of ongoing training and development. While Bumper Man provides initial training without a fee, the costs of attending any subsequent meetings or seminars are generally the franchisee's responsibility, unless Bumper Man explicitly states otherwise.
