What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bumper Man's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are responsible for covering the costs associated with attending both initial and refresher training programs. While Bumper Man provides the training itself at no charge, the franchisee must pay for all expenses incurred, including travel, accommodations, meals, and any other related costs.
This means that a prospective Bumper Man franchisee needs to factor in these training-related expenses when budgeting for their initial investment. The FDD estimates these training-related expenses to be between $2,000 and $4,000. These costs are paid to transportation, service, and lodging providers as they are incurred.
It is fairly common in the franchise industry for the franchisor to provide the training program itself, but for the franchisee to bear the costs of attending that training. This can represent a significant out-of-pocket expense for new franchisees, especially if the training location is far from their home. Franchisees should inquire about the typical duration and location of training to estimate these costs accurately.
