What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bumper Man's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, while the franchisor currently provides initial and refresher training at no charge, the franchisee is responsible for all costs associated with attending the training. These costs include travel, accommodations, meals, and other expenses.
Specifically, Item 6 details training-related expenses, estimating them to be between $2,000 and $4,000. These expenses are incurred as the franchisee arranges for transportation, service, and lodging providers. This means a prospective Bumper Man franchisee should budget for these out-of-pocket costs in addition to the franchise fee and other initial investments.
It is important to note that while the training itself is currently free, Bumper Man retains the right to charge for their representatives' actual expenses (travel, accommodations, and meals) if additional training is provided in the franchisee's designated area. This is a potential added cost that franchisees should be aware of. Franchisees should confirm with Bumper Man whether additional training is likely to be required in their area and how these costs would be determined.
