Does Bumper Man have any pending copyright applications that are material to the franchise?

According to the 2025 Bumper Man Franchise Disclosure Document, Bumper Man does not have any pending copyright applications that are material to the franchise. However, Bumper Man claims copyright protection for its Manual, promotional literature related to the franchise program, the Bumper Man URL, and all social media and mobile application sites and platforms. Additionally, Bumper Man claims copyright protection in the Bumper Man invoicing software installed on the iPad Mini that is loaned to franchisees for operating their Bumper Business, identifying it as proprietary software.

While Bumper Man does not have registered copyrights, it emphasizes the protection of its operational and marketing materials. This means that franchisees are granted the right to use these copyrighted materials as part of their franchise agreement, but they do not own the copyrights. Unauthorized use or distribution of these materials by franchisees could lead to legal repercussions.

Bumper Man also states that they are not aware of any current infringing uses of any of their copyrights or trade secrets and that their right to use or license copyrighted materials and trade secrets is not materially limited by any agreement. If a franchisee becomes aware of any claims of infringement on the use of the content contained in the Bumper Man Manual or trade secrets, they must notify Bumper Man. The obligations in the event of such a claim are the same as those described in Item 13 with respect to Bumper Man's Marks.
