What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bumper Man's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, as of the issuance date of the document, Bumper Man does not own any outlets, nor does it control any other channels of distribution or competitive brands. This means that currently, franchisees do not have to compete directly with company-owned Bumper Man locations.
However, the FDD also states that franchisees may face competition from other businesses and competitive brands that Bumper Man controls in the future. While Bumper Man does not currently own any outlets, they retain the right to establish and operate or license others to operate a Bumper Business outside the Designated Area, including adjacent locations. They also reserve the right to operate other automotive repair businesses under the Bumper Man marks or other marks, and to operate any auto repair businesses or other businesses that Bumper Man or its affiliates may operate as a result of any acquisition, consolidation, or merger.
Prospective franchisees should be aware that while they will receive a Designated Area in which Bumper Man will not operate or grant others the right to operate a Bumper Man business, this is subject to certain conditions. The lack of company-owned stores at the time of the FDD issuance does not guarantee that Bumper Man will not open company-owned stores or introduce other competitive channels in the future, potentially impacting a franchisee's market share and profitability.
