What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bumper Man's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial franchise fee is generally considered fully earned upon receipt and is non-refundable. The standard initial franchise fee is $50,000, which most franchisees pay in a lump sum when signing the Franchise Agreement.
However, there is an exception: Bumper Man may refund part of the initial franchise fee if they determine, in their sole discretion, that a new franchisee has not satisfactorily completed the initial training program. If a refund is issued, Bumper Man will deduct their costs and expenses for providing training and support, but these deductions will not exceed $15,000.
For qualified candidates who meet Bumper Man's credit criteria, there is also an option to finance a portion of the initial franchise fee. These candidates may pay half ($25,000) of the initial franchise fee upon execution of the Franchise Agreement, with the remaining half paid at a date specified in the financing agreement. Item 10 of the FDD provides further details on the financing terms.
