What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Bumper Man Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must adhere to the payment methods that Bumper Man designates. Bumper Man has the option to specify, in writing, the credit and debit card issuers or sponsors, check or credit verification services, financial center services, and electronic funds transfer systems that franchisees must use.
If Bumper Man designates specific payment methods or vendors, the franchisee is obligated to establish and maintain relationships with those designated entities. Conversely, the franchisee is prohibited from using any payment services or providers that Bumper Man has not approved in writing or has explicitly revoked approval for.
Bumper Man retains the right to modify these requirements, including designating additional approved or required methods of payment and vendors. This ensures that Bumper Man can maintain control over payment processing and potentially negotiate favorable terms with service providers, which may impact the franchisee's operational costs and customer payment options.
