What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Bumper Man Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee must adhere to the standards outlined in the Manual while operating their Bumper Business. Bumper Man provides one copy of the Manual to the franchisee on loan for the duration of the franchise term. The franchisor may provide updates and amendments to the manual and will notify the franchisee in writing of any such changes, which the franchisee must then comply with. The franchisor may provide the manual in electronic format, such as on a tablet or smartphone. In case of a dispute, the master copy of the Manual maintained by Bumper Man will prevail.
If the franchisee loses, destroys, or significantly damages their copy of the Manual, they must obtain a replacement copy and pay a fee to reimburse the cost of the replacement. As of the effective date, this fee is $500. The franchisee is also expected to use the digital version of the Manual available on the Intranet.
Furthermore, the franchisee must treat the Manual as confidential and safeguard the information contained within it. Upon the expiration or termination of the Franchise Agreement, the franchisee is obligated to return all hard copies of the Manual to Bumper Man. This ensures that the franchisee operates according to Bumper Man's standards and protects the franchisor's confidential information.
