What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Bumper Man FDD, franchisees are not required to provide bumper repair services to individual consumers. However, a franchisee has the option to provide these services. The FDD states that a Bumper Man franchisee may, at their sole option, provide bumper repair services to individual consumers as they deem appropriate.
However, this option is conditional. The franchisee must comply with the terms and conditions of the franchise agreement. Additionally, they must adequately support the Bumper Man customers in their designated area, according to the standards set forth in the manual.
This flexibility allows franchisees to tailor their services to the specific needs and demands of their local market. However, it also places a responsibility on the franchisee to balance serving individual consumers with maintaining service levels for the other customer types specified in the Franchise Agreement and Manual, including Major Dealerships, wholesale auto dealerships, automotive auctions, car/truck rental facilities, nondealership automobile centers, managed transportation providers, distributors, logistics providers and final-mile distribution providers.
