What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bumper Man's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must provide certificates of insurance, copies of insurance policies, and other related documentation under specific circumstances. Prior to commencing operations, a franchisee must provide evidence of the required insurance coverage. This ensures that the Bumper Man business is adequately insured from the outset.

Additionally, franchisees are required to provide these documents annually upon the renewal of each insurance policy. This annual requirement ensures that the insurance coverage remains current and compliant with Bumper Man's standards. Furthermore, if there are any changes to an insurance policy during the year, the franchisee must provide updated documentation to Bumper Man. This ensures that Bumper Man is informed of any modifications to the insurance coverage that could affect the business.

Bumper Man retains the right to modify the insurance requirements at any time, with any such changes being detailed in the Manual. This means that franchisees need to stay informed about potential changes to insurance requirements and be prepared to provide updated documentation as needed. The insurance policies that franchisees are required to obtain include: Garage Liability Insurance policy with a minimum each occurrence policy limit of $1,000,000; Garage Keepers Insurance policy with a required limit per vehicle of $50,000; and Commercial Vehicle Insurance policy with a combined single policy limit of $500,000.
