What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bumper Man's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, upon termination or non-renewal of the Franchise Agreement, franchisees have several obligations. These include immediately ceasing operation of the Bumper Business, paying all outstanding amounts owed to Bumper Man, and discontinuing any use of Bumper Man's Marks. Franchisees must also stop using the Bumper Man System and confidential information, including the Manual, and return all copies of this confidential information to Bumper Man.
Additionally, franchisees must assign or cancel any telephone numbers, domain names, email addresses, websites, social media accounts, and search engine accounts related to the Bumper Business. These must be assigned to Bumper Man or their designee. Franchisees are also required to remove any branding from their Bumper Man vehicle according to the standards in the Manual.
Finally, franchisees must comply with all post-termination obligations, including those related to confidentiality, non-competition, and indemnification. These restrictions ensure that franchisees do not unfairly compete with Bumper Man after the agreement ends and that Bumper Man's proprietary information remains protected.
