What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Bumper Man FDD, the standards and specifications for operating a Bumper Man repair services business are primarily found in the Manual. Franchisees gain access to the Manual after signing the Franchise Agreement and paying the initial franchise fee. The Manual, which may be in electronic format, contains proprietary and confidential information and includes operating procedures, standards, rules, and regulations for the Bumper Man system. A copy of the Manual Table of Contents is attached to the disclosure document as Exhibit D. The manual contains 69 pages.
Bumper Man also provides franchisees with a list of approved suppliers and preferred vendors, as set forth in the confidential operating and training manuals related to the Bumper Man system. This includes the franchisor's standards and specifications for the operation of the Bumper Man repair services business, along with any bulletins, supplements, ancillary materials, and directives that Bumper Man establishes, which may be amended from time to time.
During the operation of the Bumper Man business, the franchisor will inspect the franchisee's operations and evaluate their performance of bumper repair services to ensure consistency with Bumper Man's standards and specifications. This can be done in person or remotely by telephone. Franchisees are also required to use any proprietary software programs, system documentation manuals, and other proprietary materials that Bumper Man requires in connection with the operation of the Bumper Business. Franchisees must also purchase new or upgraded versions of these materials whenever Bumper Man adopts new or upgraded programs system-wide, as set forth in the Manual.
