What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Bumper Man Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must purchase a computer or tablet before starting operations. This device needs to be capable of running basic business software, such as a word processing office suite and basic financial recordkeeping software like QuickBooks or Quicken. The estimated cost for this equipment ranges from $750 to $1,500.
In addition to the franchisee-purchased computer or tablet, Bumper Man will loan the franchisee an iPad Mini or tablet pre-loaded with Bumper Man software. This device is specifically for inputting customer invoice and billing information and transmitting that data to Bumper Man. The necessary accessories for using the loaned iPad Mini or tablet for invoicing, including a printer, are also included in this loan arrangement.
It is important to note that the franchisee is responsible for acquiring, installing, and maintaining any anti-virus and anti-spyware software that Bumper Man requires. Franchisees must also comply with any data security and consumer privacy policies that Bumper Man prescribes in the Manual. While Bumper Man loans an iPad for specific invoicing purposes, the franchisee bears the cost of the general-use computer and its security.
