What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Bumper Man Franchise Disclosure Document, in provinces or territories with pre-sale franchise disclosure laws, a franchisee must acknowledge receiving a copy of the Franchise Agreement, its exhibits, and the complete franchise disclosure document. These documents must be received as one document at one time, either personally, via email, or by registered mail.

This receipt must occur no less than 14 days before the earlier of two dates: either the date the Franchise Agreement (or any related agreement) is executed, or the date any consideration is paid by or on behalf of the franchisee related to the agreement and the franchise. The only exception to this 14-day rule is for deposits permitted under applicable law.

This requirement ensures that prospective Bumper Man franchisees have adequate time to review the franchise agreement and disclosure document before committing to the franchise. It also allows them to seek legal or financial advice, promoting informed decision-making and protecting franchisees from potential risks associated with entering into a franchise agreement without sufficient information.
