What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Bumper Man Franchise Disclosure Document, the Certified Technician Addendum is an agreement between Bumper Man, Inc. as the Franchisor, the Franchisee, the Principal, and the Certified Technician. The Franchisee already operates a Bumper Man bumper repair business under a separate Franchise Agreement. The Franchisee is seeking the Franchisor's consent to hire a Certified Technician to help maximize the number of customers serviced in their designated area.

The Franchisee is responsible for directly supervising the Certified Technician's work. The Franchisee remains liable for the Certified Technician's performance under the Franchise Agreement, including their services, any losses or damages, or any breaches of the Franchise Agreement or the Addendum. This liability is the same as if the Franchisee had performed the services themselves.

In essence, the Franchisee acts as the primary operator and is ultimately accountable for all aspects of the Bumper Man business, even when a Certified Technician is involved. The Certified Technician Addendum does not relieve the Franchisee of their obligations under the original Franchise Agreement.
