What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bumper Man's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, initial and refresher training are currently provided at no charge. However, this is conditional. While Bumper Man does not charge a fee for the training itself, franchisees are responsible for covering all their own expenses related to attending the training sessions. These expenses include travel costs, accommodation, meals, and any other incidental expenses incurred during the training period.
Additionally, the FDD indicates that if Bumper Man provides additional training within a franchisee's designated area, they may charge the franchisee for the actual expenses incurred by their representatives. These expenses would cover travel, accommodations, and meals for the Bumper Man representatives providing the on-site training.
Prospective franchisees should carefully consider these potential costs when evaluating the Bumper Man franchise opportunity. While the training itself is currently free, the associated expenses can add up, especially if travel is involved. It's also important to clarify with Bumper Man the circumstances under which they might provide additional training in your area and what expenses you would be responsible for in that scenario. The FDD also lists "Training-related Expenses" in the table of other fees with an estimated cost of $2,000 - $4,000 to be paid to Transportation, Service, and Lodging Providers as incurred and arranged.
