What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Bombs Away Franchise Disclosure Document, there is no fee for the franchisee to attend the initial training program. However, the franchisee is responsible for covering the travel and living expenses for themselves and any additional staff members they choose to send to the training. Bombs Away's training classes are scheduled based on the needs of new franchisees and are anticipated to be held three to six times per year at their location in Campbell, California.
The initial training program is mandatory for the franchisee and must be completed to Bombs Away's satisfaction at least four weeks before the business opens. While attendance is required for the franchisee, Bombs Away allows additional staff members to attend training as well. The franchisor also reserves the right to modify the length and content of the initial training program based on the attendee's experience and skill level.
Bombs Away's training program includes the Brand Standards Manual, lectures, discussions, on-the-job demonstrations, and practice. The training classes are led or supervised by Ryan O'Quinn, who has experience in the industry and has been with Bombs Away or its affiliates since 2016. While Bombs Away does not currently require additional training programs or refresher courses, they retain the right to implement them in the future.
