What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Bombs Away's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, a "Required Vendor" is defined as a supplier, vendor, or distributor of Inputs that Bombs Away Franchising mandates its franchisees to utilize. Inputs encompass a broad range of goods, services, supplies, fixtures, equipment, inventory, computer hardware and software, real estate, or comparable items necessary for establishing or operating the Bombs Away business. This means franchisees must purchase certain items from specific vendors chosen by Bombs Away.
This requirement allows Bombs Away to maintain quality control and standardization across all franchise locations. By mandating the use of specific vendors, Bombs Away can ensure that all franchisees are using products and services that meet the brand's standards. This can impact a franchisee's operational costs and sourcing flexibility.
While franchisees are required to use these vendors, they do have the option to request approval for alternate vendors or inputs. However, Bombs Away has the right to evaluate and approve or disapprove these requests based on criteria such as the vendor's capacity, quality, financial stability, reputation, and reliability. Bombs Away will provide written notification of approval or disapproval within 30 days of the franchisee's request. Franchisees should be aware that Bombs Away is not liable for any claims or losses related to products or services provided by any Approved or Required Vendor.
