What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Bombs Away's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Bombs Away does not directly provide franchisees with the necessary equipment, signs, fixtures, opening inventory, and supplies to open their business. Instead, Bombs Away will provide a list of specifications and approved suppliers for these items. The franchisee is then responsible for sourcing these items from the approved suppliers, as well as handling the delivery and installation.

This means that prospective Bombs Away franchisees will need to manage the procurement process themselves, which includes contacting suppliers, comparing prices, placing orders, and coordinating delivery and installation. While Bombs Away provides a list of approved suppliers, the franchisee bears the responsibility of ensuring that all equipment and supplies meet the required specifications and are obtained in a timely manner to facilitate the opening of their business.

This arrangement is fairly common in franchising, as it allows the franchisor to maintain quality control through approved suppliers while shifting the logistical burden to the franchisee. However, it's important for prospective franchisees to factor in the time and effort required to manage this process, as well as the potential for delays or complications in sourcing the necessary items. Franchisees should carefully evaluate the list of approved suppliers and understand the terms and conditions of purchasing from them.
