How will Bombs Away notify a franchisee about the approval or disapproval of a proposed supplier?

Bombs_Away Franchise · 2024 FDD

Answer from 2024 FDD Document

If you want to use a supplier that is not on our list of approved suppliers, you must request our approval in writing. We will grant or revoke approvals of suppliers based on criteria appropriate to the situation, which may include evaluations of the supplier's capacity, quality, financial stability, reputation, and reliability; inspections; product testing, and performance reviews. Our criteria for approving suppliers are not available to you. We permit you to contract with alternative suppliers who meet our criteria only if you request our approval in writing, and we grant approval. There is no fee for us to review or approve an alternate supplier. We will provide you with written notification of the approval or disapproval of any supplier you propose within 30 days after receipt of your request. We may grant approvals of new suppliers or revoke past approvals of suppliers on written notice to you.

What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Bombs Away's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee wishes to use a supplier not already approved, they must request approval in writing from Bombs Away. Bombs Away will then evaluate the supplier based on criteria such as capacity, quality, financial stability, reputation, and reliability, potentially including inspections, product testing, and performance reviews. While the specific criteria for supplier approval are not disclosed to franchisees, Bombs Away will provide written notification of the approval or disapproval of the proposed supplier within 30 days of receiving the franchisee's request.

This process is important for maintaining brand consistency and quality control within the Bombs Away franchise system. By requiring franchisees to seek approval for alternative suppliers, Bombs Away aims to ensure that all products and services meet their standards. The 30-day response timeframe provides a reasonable expectation for franchisees awaiting a decision on their proposed suppliers.

It is also noted that Bombs Away may grant approvals of new suppliers or revoke past approvals of suppliers, and will notify franchisees of these changes in writing. This allows Bombs Away to adapt its approved supplier list as needed, and ensures franchisees are kept up to date with any changes. Franchisees should maintain open communication with Bombs Away regarding suppliers to ensure compliance and avoid potential disruptions to their business operations.
