What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Bombs Away's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Principal Executive, who is primarily responsible for the Bombs Away business and possesses decision-making authority, must have at least a 10% ownership interest in the franchise. This individual is expected to actively participate in the business's direct operations and dedicate a substantial amount of time and attention to it.
This requirement ensures that the Bombs Away franchise is managed by someone with a vested interest and commitment to the business. By mandating active participation, Bombs Away aims to maintain consistent quality and adherence to its standards across all franchise locations. This also allows for a more hands-on approach to problem-solving and decision-making, potentially leading to better business outcomes.
If the designated Principal Executive can no longer fulfill their responsibilities due to death, incapacitation, transfer of interest, or any other reason, the franchisee is obligated to promptly appoint a new Principal Executive. This appointment is subject to Bombs Away's approval, ensuring that the replacement meets the necessary qualifications and standards. This provision helps maintain continuity and operational effectiveness within the franchise.
The active involvement of the Principal Executive is a critical component of the Bombs Away franchise model, reflecting the brand's emphasis on engaged leadership and consistent operational oversight. Prospective franchisees should carefully consider this requirement and ensure that their designated Principal Executive is prepared to meet these expectations.
