What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Bombs Away's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees have specific obligations regarding the confidentiality and security of software systems. Bombs Away requires franchisees to protect the confidentiality and security of all software systems and to adhere to any System Standards related to those systems. This means franchisees must take proactive measures to safeguard software from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure, and they must follow any guidelines or protocols established by Bombs Away to maintain system integrity and data protection. These measures are crucial for protecting sensitive business and customer information.
In addition to maintaining confidentiality and security, Bombs Away franchisees must grant Bombs Away unlimited access to their point-of-sale system and other software systems used in the business. This access allows Bombs Away to monitor operations, provide support, and ensure compliance with system standards. The access can be provided through any means designated by Bombs Away, giving the franchisor flexibility in how they access and manage the franchisee's systems.
These requirements reflect the importance of standardized and secure technology systems in the Bombs Away franchise network. By mandating specific software, security protocols, and access rights, Bombs Away aims to maintain consistency, protect data, and ensure the smooth operation of all franchise locations. Prospective franchisees should carefully consider these obligations and ensure they have the resources and capabilities to meet these requirements.
