What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Bombs Away's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees have specific obligations regarding the software they use for their business. Bombs Away requires franchisees to acquire and use all software and related systems that Bombs Away Franchising deems necessary. Franchisees must also enter into any subscription and support agreements that Bombs Away requires. This ensures that all franchisees are operating on the same technological platform and receiving the necessary support.
Furthermore, Bombs Away franchisees are responsible for keeping their software up to date. They must upgrade, update, or replace any software as Bombs Away Franchising requires. Most importantly, franchisees must protect the confidentiality and security of all software systems and adhere to any System Standards related to those systems. This includes protecting sensitive customer data and preventing unauthorized access to the software.
To ensure Bombs Away can monitor operations and provide support, franchisees must give Bombs Away Franchising unlimited access to their point-of-sale system and other software systems used in the business, using any means designated by Bombs Away. This level of access allows Bombs Away to maintain quality control and assist franchisees with technical issues. These requirements are typical in franchising, as franchisors need to ensure consistency and protect their brand's reputation.
