For a Bombs Away franchise, what training is required for the general manager of my business?

- 7.6 Post-Opening Training. Bombs Away Franchising may at any time require that the Principal Executive and/or any other employees complete training programs, in any format and in any location determined by Bombs Away Franchising. Bombs Away Franchising may charge a reasonable fee for any training programs. Bombs Away Franchising may require Franchisee to provide training programs to its employees. If a training program is held at a location which requires travel by the Principal Executive or any other employee, then Franchisee shall pay all travel, living and other expenses.
- 7.7 Software. Without limiting the generality of Section 7.1 or Section 8.1, Franchisee shall acquire and use all software and related systems required by Bombs Away Franchising. Franchisee shall enter into any subscription and support agreements that Bombs Away Franchising may require. Franchisee shall upgrade, update, or replace any software from time to time as Bombs Away Franchising may require. Franchisee shall protect the confidentiality and security of all software systems, and Franchisee shall abide by any System Standards related thereto. Franchisee shall give Bombs Away Franchising unlimited access to Franchisee's point of sale system and
other software systems used in the Business, by any means designated by Bombs Away Franchising.
- 7.8 Customer Complaints. Franchisee shall use its best efforts to promptly resolve any customer complaints. Bombs Away Franchising may take any action it deems appropriate to resolve a customer complaint regarding the Business, and Bombs Away Franchising may require Franchisee to reimburse Bombs Away Franchising for any expenses.
- 7.9 Evaluation and Compliance Programs. Franchisee shall participate at its own expense in programs required from time to time by Bombs Away Franchising for obtaining customer evaluations, reviewing Franchisee's compliance with the System, and/or managing customer complaints, which may include (but are not limited to) a customer feedback system, customer survey programs, and mystery shopping. Bombs Away Franchising shall share with Franchisee the results of these programs, as they pertain to the Business. Franchisee must meet or exceed any minimum score requirements set by Bombs Away Franchising for such programs.

What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Bombs Away Franchise Disclosure Document, the Principal Executive, not necessarily the general manager, must complete Bombs Away's training program for new franchisees to Bombs Away's satisfaction at least four weeks before opening the Business. Bombs Away Franchising will make available its standard pre-opening training to the Principal Executive, at Bombs Away Franchising's headquarters and/or at a Bombs Away business designated by Bombs Away Franchising. Bombs Away Franchising shall not charge any fee for this training.
Bombs Away Franchising shall have a representative support Franchisee's business opening with two to three days of onsite opening training and assistance. Bombs Away Franchising may at any time require that the Principal Executive and/or any other employees complete training programs, in any format and in any location determined by Bombs Away Franchising. Bombs Away Franchising may charge a reasonable fee for any training programs. If a training program is held at a location which requires travel by the Principal Executive or any other employee, then Franchisee shall pay all travel, living and other expenses.
Bombs Away Franchising shall, to the extent it deems appropriate, provide programs for Franchisee to conduct training of new employees. Bombs Away Franchising will also provide advice to Franchisee (by telephone or electronic communication) regarding improving and developing Franchisee's business, and resolving operating problems Franchisee encounters, to the extent Bombs Away Franchising deems reasonable. If Bombs Away Franchising provides in-person support in response to Franchisee's request, Bombs Away Franchising may charge its then-current fee plus any out-of-pocket expenses (such as travel, lodging, and meals for employees providing onsite support).
