What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Bombs Away Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must submit any proposed advertising or marketing material to Bombs Away for approval at least 14 days prior to its intended use. If Bombs Away does not respond within this 14-day period, the material is considered rejected. This requirement ensures that all advertising aligns with the brand's standards and marketing strategies.
This stipulation means a Bombs Away franchisee needs to plan their advertising campaigns well in advance, accounting for the two-week review period. Failure to submit materials in a timely manner could delay marketing efforts. The FDD also states that Bombs Away has the right to use any advertising or marketing materials developed by a franchisee for any purpose, without providing any payment to the franchisee.
Many franchise systems require franchisees to get approval on marketing materials to maintain brand consistency and prevent misleading advertising. The Bombs Away franchise agreement gives the franchisee the ability to create their own marketing materials, but Bombs Away maintains control over brand image and messaging. This policy allows Bombs Away to ensure quality control and consistency across all advertising efforts, while also potentially leveraging successful franchisee-created content for broader use.
