What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Bombs Away's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Gross Sales includes payments made via credit. Gross Sales is defined as the total dollar amount of all sales generated through the Business for a given period, including payment for any services or products sold by the Franchisee, whether for cash or credit. This means that all sales, regardless of whether the customer pays with cash, credit card, or another method, are included when calculating the total Gross Sales for the Bombs Away franchise.
This definition is important because Bombs Away calculates royalty fees and marketing fund contributions based on a percentage of Gross Sales. Franchisees must report their monthly Gross Sales to Bombs Away by the 2nd day of the following month. If a franchisee fails to report monthly Gross Sales, Bombs Away may withdraw estimated Royalty Fees and Marketing Fund Contributions equal to 125% of the last Gross Sales reported.
However, the definition of Gross Sales does not include certain items. Specifically, bona fide refunds to customers, sales taxes collected by the franchisee, sales of used equipment not in the ordinary course of business, and sales of prepaid cards or similar products are excluded from Gross Sales. However, the redemption of any such card or product will be included in Gross Sales.
