Where might Bombs Away conduct testing of new or revised specifications and standards?
Bombs_Away Franchise · 2024 FDDAnswer from 2024 FDD Document
We issue specifications and standards to you for applicable aspects of the franchise in our Manual and/or in written directives. We may issue new specifications and standards for any aspect of our brand system, or modify existing specifications and standards, at any time by revising our Manual and/or issuing new written directives (which may be communicated to you by any method we choose). We will generally (but are not obligated to) issue new or revised specifications only after thorough testing in our headquarters, in company-owned outlets, and/or a limited market test in multiple units.

What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Bombs Away's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the company may conduct testing of new or revised specifications and standards at its headquarters, in company-owned outlets, and/or through limited market tests in multiple units. This testing is generally, but not always, performed before Bombs Away issues new or revised specifications for the franchise system. These specifications and standards cover various aspects of the franchise and are communicated through the Bombs Away Manual or written directives.
For a prospective franchisee, this means that Bombs Away has a process for evaluating changes to the brand's operational standards before implementing them across the franchise network. The testing locations suggest that Bombs Away values feedback from both its corporate team and real-world franchise environments. The FDD indicates that these directives may be communicated through any method Bombs Away chooses.
However, Bombs Away is not obligated to conduct these tests before issuing new or revised specifications. This introduces a degree of uncertainty, as changes could be implemented without prior testing. Franchisees should stay informed of any updates to the Bombs Away Manual or written directives to ensure compliance with the latest standards. It would be prudent for a potential franchisee to inquire about the typical frequency and nature of specification changes and the methods Bombs Away uses to communicate these changes to franchisees.
