What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Bombs Away's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, attendance at the initial training program is mandatory for franchisees. The FDD states, "You must attend training." This means that a franchisee is required to complete the training program to the franchisor's satisfaction before opening their Bombs Away business. The training must be completed at least four weeks before opening.
While attendance is mandatory for the franchisee, Bombs Away also allows franchisees to send additional people to the training program, up to a maximum number. The franchisee is responsible for covering all travel and living expenses for themselves and any additional attendees.
Bombs Away does not charge a fee for the franchisee to attend the initial training. The training classes are scheduled based on the needs of new franchisees and are anticipated to be held three to six times per year at the company's offices and business location in Campbell, California. The training program is led or supervised by Ryan O'Quinn, who has experience in the industry and has been with Bombs Away or its affiliates since 2016. The franchisor also reserves the right to change the length and content of the initial training program based on the experience and skill level of the individual attending.
