Under what conditions can a Big Apple Bagels franchisee participate in the catering program?

If you are in good standing, you may, at the sole and exclusive discretion of BAB, be permitted to do catering by executing the Catering Program Addendum attached as Exhibit G to this Franchise Disclosure Document. The Catering Program Addendum permits you to sell from your BAGELS Production Store, within your Catering Marketing Area, Big Apple Bagels® brand bagels, sandwiches and cream cheeses, Brewster's® brand coffee, and My Favorite Muffin® brand muffins. Your Catering Marketing Area is defined in the Catering Program Addendum, and it is not exclusive. However, you are prohibited from soliciting or delivering Catering products outside your Catering Marketing Area, which Area is subject to change. There is no initial fee payable to BAB under the Catering Program Addendum. The catering business is subject to the terms and conditions of the Franchise Agreement as described in this Franchise Disclosure Document.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Big Apple Bagels' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee can participate in the catering program if they are in good standing with the company. Big Apple Bagels must grant permission at its sole discretion. To participate, the franchisee must execute the Catering Program Addendum, which is attached as Exhibit G to the FDD.
The Catering Program Addendum allows the franchisee to sell Big Apple Bagels branded bagels, sandwiches, and cream cheeses, Brewster's branded coffee, and My Favorite Muffin branded muffins from their BAGELS Production Store within their designated Catering Marketing Area. The Catering Marketing Area is defined in the Catering Program Addendum and is not exclusive to the franchisee. The area is subject to change at any time.
A Big Apple Bagels franchisee is prohibited from soliciting or delivering catering products outside of their Catering Marketing Area. There is no initial fee payable to Big Apple Bagels under the Catering Program Addendum.
