What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Big Apple Bagels' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the operational training for store equipment ranges from 2 to 4 hours. This training is part of the initial training program that franchisees (or their controlling shareholder, managing partner, or member) must complete to Big Apple Bagels' satisfaction before opening their business.
The initial training program is held generally no more than 4-6 weeks prior to opening and includes both classroom/online instruction and in-store operations experience. Franchisees may bring one additional individual, either a co-owner or employee, to the training. Additional operational training is also provided at the franchisee's Big Apple Bagels store near the time of the store opening.
Prospective franchisees should note that the training program may be conducted in different locations and ways, especially in circumstances beyond Big Apple Bagels' control, such as a pandemic or health emergency. In such cases, Big Apple Bagels may substitute or modify the training activities to avoid face-to-face contact, on-site presence, and/or travel. This flexibility ensures that franchisees receive the necessary training even under challenging conditions.
