What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Big Apple Bagels Franchise Disclosure Document, to be granted a franchise, an applicant must meet the qualifications set by Big Apple Bagels. The franchisor grants a franchise to individuals who meet their specific qualifications to own and operate a Big Apple Bagels store, utilizing the brand's trademarks and operational system.

The FDD states that the franchisee must apply for a license to own and operate a Big Apple Bagels store at a specific location, and this application must be approved by the franchisor. In the application, the franchisee must not make any misrepresentations to obtain the franchise.

Furthermore, the franchisee must complete the development of the Big Apple Bagels store, obtain all necessary licenses, and have the store ready to open within a specific timeframe. This timeframe is the earlier of six months after obtaining possession of the site, six months from the date of the agreement if the franchisee already possesses the site, or twelve months from the agreement date. Failure to meet this deadline may result in the termination of the franchise agreement at the franchisor's discretion.
