What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Big Apple Bagels' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial franchise fee is due when you sign the Franchise Agreement. For a standard Big Apple Bagels franchise, the initial fee is $25,000. However, if you sign a Preliminary Agreement, you may be required to pay a deposit of $10,000. If you proceed to sign a Franchise Agreement, this deposit will be applied towards the initial franchise fee balance.

For a BAGELS Satellite Store, the initial franchise fee is $15,000, payable when you sign the Franchise Agreement. If you are signing a Franchise Agreement under an Area Development Agreement, the franchise fee is $10,000.

It is important to note that these fees are generally non-refundable, with the exception of the Franchise Fee Deposit under certain conditions outlined in the Preliminary Agreement. Specifically, if you submit at least one site to Big Apple Bagels within 60 days, but the site is not approved, you may receive a refund of all but $3,000 of the deposit. However, if you fail to submit any sites within the 60-day period, you will not be entitled to any refund.
