What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Best In Class Education Center Franchise Disclosure Document, the Satellite Office Addendum (SOA) can be renewed if the Franchise Agreement is renewed. The term of the Satellite Office Addendum runs concurrently with the term of the Franchise Agreement.
Specifically, the FDD states that if a franchisee meets the conditions for renewal of the Franchise Agreement, they can enter into three consecutive successor franchise agreements, each with a term of five years. The parties can mutually agree to further renewals, but neither party is obligated to do so, subject to state law.
This means that a Best In Class Education Center franchisee's ability to renew their Satellite Office Addendum is directly tied to their ability to renew their main Franchise Agreement. If the franchisee successfully renews the Franchise Agreement, the Satellite Office Addendum is also renewed for a concurrent term. However, if the Franchise Agreement is not renewed, the Satellite Office Addendum cannot be renewed either.
