What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Best In Class Education Center's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must pay a relocation fee if they want to move their center to a new location and require the franchisor's approval for the relocation. The relocation fee is $1,000 for each proposed new site, in addition to covering the franchisor's travel expenses to visit and assess the potential new locations. This fee is due at the time the new site is proposed.
This fee covers Best In Class Education Center's costs of evaluating potential relocation sites. The travel expenses cover costs incurred by the franchisor and their representatives for travel, meals, and lodging to visit the center. These expenses include economy tickets (excluding red-eye flights), business-class hotels (3.5 stars and up), up to $50 per person per day for meals, and actual costs for local transportation like car rentals, taxi fares, or Uber fees.
It is important to note that 75% of the $1,000 relocation fee is refundable if Best In Class Education Center rejects the proposed new site. This provides some financial relief to the franchisee if the relocation is not approved. However, the franchisee is still responsible for all travel expenses incurred by the franchisor during the site evaluation process, regardless of whether the site is approved or rejected.
