What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the term of the UWIN Participation Agreement for Benjamin Franklin Plumbing franchisees extends from the agreement's effective date until the expiration or termination of the Franchise Agreement. This means the UWIN agreement's duration is directly tied to the length of the franchisee's agreement with Benjamin Franklin Plumbing.

This arrangement ensures that Benjamin Franklin Plumbing franchisees participating in the Customer Complaint Resolution Program remain in the program for as long as they are operating under the Benjamin Franklin Plumbing franchise. It also allows UWIN to maintain consistent standards and practices among franchisees, as participation is linked to the franchisee's adherence to the Benjamin Franklin Plumbing franchise agreement.

However, UWIN retains the right to modify the participation agreement during the term, potentially introducing terms and conditions that differ materially from the original agreement. If requested by UWIN, the franchisee must execute the then-current form of UWIN's participation agreement. This condition introduces an element of uncertainty, as the franchisee may be subject to changing terms during the agreement's duration.
