What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Benjamin Franklin Plumbing's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee is required to submit a report of Gross Revenue concurrently with each Royalty Fee payment for the preceding period. Additionally, Benjamin Franklin Plumbing may request access to accounting records, inventory reports, and other supporting documentation.
This means that a Benjamin Franklin Plumbing franchisee must consistently track and report their Gross Revenue to the franchisor. The frequency of these reports is tied to the royalty payment schedule, ensuring that the franchisor receives timely financial updates. Franchisees should maintain accurate records and be prepared to provide additional financial information upon request.
Failure to submit these reports on time can lead to penalties. If a Gross Revenue report is not received when due, all payments owed by the franchisee for that period are considered overdue, regardless of whether payment was actually made. The franchisee will then be responsible for late fees and interest. Benjamin Franklin Plumbing also has the right to estimate Gross Revenue if a report is missing and draft the estimated amount due from the franchisee's bank account. To avoid these penalties, franchisees must prioritize timely and accurate reporting of their Gross Revenue.
