According to the 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial term of the Benjamin Franklin Plumbing franchise agreement will expire on the anniversary of the agreement date, as specified in the Brand Appendix.

The agreement provides an option for renewal, allowing franchisees to continue the franchise relationship for one additional term of ten years. This renewal is contingent upon meeting specific conditions outlined in Section 19 of the agreement.

To renew, franchisees must provide written notice of their intent to renew within a specific timeframe, between six and twelve months before the expiration date. They must also be in good standing, without any defaults on the agreement or other agreements with Benjamin Franklin Plumbing or its affiliates. Furthermore, a good record of customer service, compliance with brand standards, and a positive working relationship with the franchisor are necessary. Franchisees may be required to sign the then-current franchise agreement, which could include different terms, increased fees, or revised territory configurations. Payment of a renewal fee, as specified in the Brand Appendix, and signing a general release of claims against the franchisor are also required for renewal.
