Does Benihana provide access to a manual during the franchise term?

According to Benihana's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Benihana provides franchisees with access to the Manual for use during the franchise term. Before signing the Franchise Agreement, prospective franchisees can view the Manual at Benihana's facility after signing a confidentiality agreement. However, franchisees do not receive a copy of the Manual or other proprietary materials until they sign the Franchise Agreement.

Upon termination, transfer, or expiration of the Franchise Agreement, franchisees must immediately return the Manual and all its components to Benihana at their own expense. The instructional materials used in the initial training include the Manual, as defined in the Disclosure Document, as well as other beverage, food, sushi, and management manuals.

The pre-opening training program is subject to change due to updates in materials, methods, the Manual, and personnel without notice. This means that the content of the manual and the training programs can be modified at Benihana's discretion. Franchisees should stay updated with any changes to ensure compliance with the latest standards and procedures.
