What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Benihana's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the average check per person at Kona Grill restaurants was $33 in 2021. This is an important metric that Benihana uses to analyze customer preferences, spending habits, and the effectiveness of menu and pricing strategies.
For a prospective Benihana franchisee, the average check per person provides insight into the revenue generated per customer at Kona Grill. This figure, combined with the average comparable restaurant revenues of $5.1 million for 2021, helps to assess the overall financial performance and potential profitability of a Kona Grill franchise.
It's worth noting that the average check is calculated by dividing the total restaurant sales by the total entrees sold during a specific period. This metric can be influenced by various factors, including menu pricing, customer demographics, and the overall dining experience offered at Kona Grill locations. Understanding these factors is crucial for franchisees to effectively manage and optimize their restaurant operations.
