What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Annex Brands' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the standard initial training includes 8 classroom days for standard, flex, or express centers, with a possible additional 6-hour day for flex centers. However, Annex Brands retains the discretion to reduce the number of classroom training days based on specific factors. These factors include the attendees' prior experience with the training subject matter, the number of attendees participating in the training, and scheduling considerations.
Annex Brands may also offer an online training program before the formal initial training, which, if provided, could further reduce the number of required classroom days. Additionally, Annex Brands has the option, but not the obligation, to provide supplementary pre-training or post-training sessions. These sessions may include teleconferences, online web-based training, and live webcast sessions, which franchisees must complete within a timeframe specified by Annex Brands. Franchisees are responsible for any associated license and administrative fees for these additional training resources, such as the current one-time $330 fee for a 12-month license to an online financial training portal.
This flexibility in training duration and format allows Annex Brands to tailor the training to the specific needs and capabilities of new franchisees. However, it also means that the actual amount of in-person classroom training may vary. Prospective franchisees should inquire about the specific training schedule and any potential reductions in classroom days based on their experience and the availability of online resources. Franchisees must complete the initial training program to Annex Brands' satisfaction.
