The software license may be transferred to a new franchisee on our approval and written authorization. Currently there is no transfer fee if the retail center will be in the same location, but we reserve the right to charge a transfer fee in the future. What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Annex Brands' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the PostalMate software license can be transferred to a new franchisee under specific conditions. The transfer requires approval and written authorization from Annex Brands.
Currently, Annex Brands does not charge a transfer fee if the retail center remains at the same location. However, Annex Brands retains the right to implement a transfer fee in the future, provided they give at least 15 days' notice to the franchisee. This policy ensures that Annex Brands maintains control over the software's usage and distribution while also providing some flexibility for franchise transfers.
For a prospective Annex Brands franchisee, this means that if they plan to acquire an existing franchise, the transfer of the PostalMate software license is contingent on obtaining the necessary approvals from Annex Brands. While there is currently no fee for transferring the license if the location stays the same, franchisees should be aware that this could change with proper notice. It is advisable to confirm the current transfer policy and any potential fees with Annex Brands before finalizing any transfer agreements.
