What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Annex Brands' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee will begin paying the technology services fee under the following conditions: after opening their retail center, after assuming operation of an existing retail center by transfer, or after converting an existing business to an Annex Brands retail center. The fee is currently $16 per week. This fee is due each Tuesday, after the close of business, for the previous week ending Saturday.
The technology services fee covers support for the system's Internet, Intranet communications, website, sales tracking and reporting system, and up to two retail center email addresses. It also includes a remote support login agent and other business features. Annex Brands requires that franchisees pay this fee via automatic bank draft.
In addition to the standard technology services fee, Annex Brands franchisees may incur other technology-related costs. For example, there is a $7 charge per week for any additional email addresses beyond the two included in the base technology services fee. Franchisees may also opt to customize their web pages or create a customized website for an additional fee, as well as purchase e-commerce services, with Annex Brands' approval. These additional fees are due 10 days after the invoice for customized web pages or websites and e-commerce services, and each Wednesday for additional retail center email addresses.
