What are the requirements for an Annex Brands franchisee regarding the minimum hours and days of operation?

Annex_Brands Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

Franchisee recognizes that continuous and daily availability of products and services to the public is essential to the adequate promotion of the Center and that any failure to provide such availability affects Franchisor and Franchisee both locally and nationally. Therefore, Franchisee is required to keep the Center open for business Monday through Saturday (Sunday opening is strongly recommended for Centers), except New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, during the hours specified or as approved in writing by Franchisor or required by the lease of the premises on which the Center is operated, unless otherwise prohibited by law. However, for a standard or flex Center, currently the hours of operation will not be less than 55 hours a week.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Annex Brands' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must operate their centers six days a week, from Monday through Saturday. While Sunday opening is strongly recommended, it is not mandatory. However, the centers must be closed on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

For standard or flex centers, the minimum hours of operation are set at 55 hours per week. These hours can be specified by Annex Brands in writing or required by the lease agreement for the premises. The franchisor retains the right to approve or modify the operating hours in writing, providing some flexibility based on location and business needs.

These requirements ensure consistent availability of Annex Brands' services to the public, which the company considers essential for promoting the brand both locally and nationally. Failing to meet these operating standards could affect both the franchisee's business and the overall reputation of Annex Brands. Franchisees should carefully consider these requirements when evaluating the franchise opportunity and planning their business operations.
