Is Annex Brands required to link my web pages or website to other approved websites?

- (f) Links.
We may, but are not required to, link your web pages or website to any other approved website, including but not limited to one that you maintain in your capacity as our franchisee or any other website that lists your retail center.
We may condition such linking on the linking of such websites back to our website.
We may remove or request at any time that you remove such links back to our website and you agree to promptly comply with any such request.
Any such linked websites will be subject to the license described in Section 7 and the covenants and indemnity described elsewhere in this Agreement.
We will have no duties, obligations or other commitments of any kind with respect to any of your linked websites outside of our website.
You agree to notify us of any website known to you that features or lists you in your capacity as a franchisee and to notify us of any new websites as they periodically list you.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Annex Brands's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Annex Brands is not required to link a franchisee's web pages or website to other approved websites. However, Annex Brands may choose to do so. If Annex Brands does link a franchisee's website, it may condition such linking on the linking of such websites back to Annex Brands's website. Annex Brands can also request that a franchisee remove links back to their website, and the franchisee must comply promptly. Any such linked websites will be subject to the license described in Section 7 and the covenants and indemnity described elsewhere in the Franchise Agreement. Annex Brands will not have duties, obligations or other commitments of any kind with respect to any of your linked websites outside of their website.
This means that as a franchisee, you cannot rely on Annex Brands to drive traffic to your website through links from other approved sites. However, Annex Brands retains the right to include links to third-party websites they deem desirable within your web pages or website, as well as any other materials or content they deem appropriate. This gives Annex Brands significant control over the content and advertising on your website.
Furthermore, franchisees must notify Annex Brands of any website that features or lists them as a franchisee and any new websites as they periodically list you. This ensures Annex Brands maintains awareness and control over the franchisee's online presence and brand representation. This also allows Annex Brands to monitor how franchisees are being represented online and ensure compliance with brand standards.
