What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Annex Brands' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, while Annex Brands may assist franchisees in acquiring computer hardware, they are not required to do so. The FDD specifies that franchisees can obtain computer hardware from any supplier. Annex Brands does provide the option to purchase the required computer hardware through TechShed, and if franchisees choose this route, TechShed will install the PostalMate POS network software, Endicia Premier Plan software, and PM Tools software. However, the franchisee is responsible for registering for the subscription license before using these software interfaces.
If a franchisee chooses to obtain their computer hardware from another supplier, they might need assistance from a professional computer technician to install the necessary software and hardware peripherals. The estimated cost for these computer systems ranges from $580 to $13,000, depending on the type of retail center.
Annex Brands does not provide ongoing maintenance, repairs, upgrades, or updates to any component of the computer system. It is the franchisee's responsibility to determine if their chosen third-party supplier offers these services and to understand the associated costs. The franchisee is required to obtain and install all necessary computer hardware and software, including the PostalMate POS network software, before initial training. This ensures they are prepared for the training program.
